Squirrels & Beavers Bounce Into Easter!

As we come to the end of the Easter Term, the 1st Westgate-on-Sea Squirrels and Beavers joined together for their final session with an exciting visit to Elev8 at Westwood Cross.

Elev8 is an immersive multi-activity centre, filled to the brim with adventure. After a recent refurb and extension, doubling the size of the centre, the Beavers and Squirrels were excited to experience the new trampoline area, the expanded selection of interactive games, the augmented reality climbing wall and the wide array of inflatable slides and obstacles. All of the squirrels, beavers (and leaders!) enjoyed an hour of fun, testing their bravery and challenging themselves on the array of obstacles. For some, it was their first non-hut adventure and as leaders, we were so proud to see them all trying, learning and succeeding, each with a huge grin as they all fully enjoyed themselves.

To make the session possible, Squirrel and Beaver leaders were joined by young leaders and parents, many of whom experienced their first scouting session – we hope you all had fun too!  We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help make our sessions extra special for all of our Scouts. Rounding off our adventure-filled session, it was a pleasure to award the squirrels and beavers with their many badges from the last term. Each of you has done so well and we can’t wait to see you back at the hut in a few weeks, ready to take on the next part of your scouting adventure!
